JP MORGAN CHASE GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS

Commercial Real Estate

PROJECT STATUS

Commencing Second Quarter 2022

OVERVIEW

The latest addition to the iconic Manhattan skyline, JP Morgan Chase's headquarters reaches heights over 1,300 feet providing 70 stories of new commercial space to midtown. JDP will be providing all heating and cooling systems to more than two million square feet with a multitude of tenants.

This was a multi-phase four-year project included the design, fabrication, and replacement of all major HVAC equipment and systems.

In order to allow the building to remain occupied during this major construction, we installed a supplemental chiller plant.

Innovative planning and coordination allowed JDP to bring the chillers to the site via the Metro North rail lines – chillers were loaded onto trains at New Rochelle and offloaded adjacent to the basement and brought into the building.

All major systems were replaced – primary air handlers, exhaust fans, primary chilled water pumps, and condenser water pumps.

Plate-frame heat changers were installed for the condenser water and cooling tower water. Additionally, pressure-break heat exchangers were installed at several levels.

Upon completion of all the new equipment and BMS, the building was awarded LEED Platinum certification.
